Verdict
Those who watched PEARL SPECTRE make a highly encouraging debut behind Recanted at Newbury won't want to miss him here and he should go one better after just failing to hold the late thrust of Brian Meehan's charge. Richard Hannon trained the beaten favourite in that race and is represented by the newcomer Lord Lexington here. A son of Dutch Art, he's bred for this trip and an entry in the big Sales event at Doncaster suggests he's well regarded. Sea The Skies was beaten quite a way when third to Kingman at Newmarket but that was still a very encouraging run while Mabdhool is tried in blinkers after a slightly disappointing effort at Salisbury.
