Verdict
It's fitting that Paul Nicholls and Nicky Henderson go head-to-head in the jumps season finale, as they did 12 months ago. Henderson's POLLY PEACHUM found Nicholls' Southfield Theatre a short-head too good last year but the mare can take her revenge on his half-brother Southfield Vic this time around. She was only beaten a head by Glen's Melody in the Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham last month and that is better form than Southfield Vic's victory in a Haydock handicap three weeks ago. Bayan has a penalty but Gordon Elliott's charge isn't out of this as he found the ground too testing on the Flat at Musselburgh earlier this month. Aqalim won easily at Cheltenham nine days ago after running well at The Festival but Dragon's Den and the novice Twentytwo's Taken have a lot to find on these terms.
