    Verdict

The quirky Optimaite heads the weights and has only been put up two pounds for his recent beating of Takamaka Bay. That race is one to treat with caution from a form perspective as they dawdled in the early stages. He is still very much on a winning mark but only he will know if today is to be the day. Adjawar looked a tad unfortunate in his last outing after being turned out quickly under a penalty for a victory at Brighton. Hugh Morrison's string are in good form at present so he may well have found an opportunity to gain compensation here. Autumn Rain has moved from Neville Callaghan's yard since his last run. He won a classified race last time out, beating Thesis when "wrong" at the weights, but he probably will need it a bit softer underfoot. A similar comment applying to Burgundy although his stable are in cracking form. Storm Clear finished behind two useful colts in maiden company last time out but does not look to be one of the stable stars. Fool On The Hill has been consistent over the trip but the handicapper has been harsh on him for his last win.
