    Verdict

Euchen Glen won the Brigadier Gerard on this card 12 months ago. He has won over this trip but all of his form has been over shorter in recent years and Jim Goldie’s charge isn’t getting any younger. Thunderous is trying 2m for the first time but his second behind Stradivarius in the Yorkshire Cup less than two weeks ago is the best piece of recent form on offer. Enemy was unfortunate in the Sagaro at Ascot after landing a handicap at Musselburgh but did finish behind QUICKTHORN, who has now proved his stamina and also deserves a change of luck. John Leeper was behind Thunderous and Alounak at Chester and continues to disappoint with Newmarket winner Nate The Great and Rodrigo Diaz others who look up against it.
