      Verdict

      Border Arrow, the dual winner of the listed Magnolia Stakes at Kempton, holds the key to this renewal. He has been a grand servant over the years and all ground comes alike to him. He seemed to be as good as ever when scoring in decisive fashion on his reappearance, but needs to redeem himself after a poor effort in the Earl of Sefton Stakes last time. He did miss the kick on that occasion and if he can be forgiven that run, he should be able to pick up where his seasonal debut left off. Pawn Broker also has the ability to go close but he is not the easiest of rides and was held by Border Arrow each time they met last season. Chancellor steadily came into himself after finding things happening a little to quickly in the Derby last year and is still open to improvement if the ground is not too fast for him. The Whistling Teal deserves a crack at a Group race but the jury is still out as to his ability to step up in class. Imperial Dancer looks best of the rest and was impressive when landing the Rosebery Stakes and could be one to side with if that effort does not prove to be a one-off.
