Verdict

Early Morning wasn't disgraced on his debut over 1m here earlier this month and is the pick of those with experience. But it will be a surprise if he's good enough to hold off a number of well-bred newcomers dropped in trip. Richard Hughes rides the Exceed And Excel colt Exchequer ahead of stablemates Black Caesar and Dover The Moon and he should be noted in the betting. Flag War is a half-brother to several winners and cost 90,000gns while Ensuring is another with a nice pedigree. However, like the expensively-purchased Maraayill, he represents a yard whose juvenile often improve as they gain experience. STAMPEDE is a half-brother to three winners with speed and stamina spread through his pedigree in equal measures. He'll know his job and can make a winning start to his career.
