Verdict
RED STRIKER (NAP) hung in the closing stages when failing to catch the more-experienced Cote D’Azur at Nottingham but is fitted with cheekpieces here and that was his first run in a handicap. Despite a 2lb rise, Sir Michael Stoute’s gelding could still be well treated and can recoup losses. Recent winners Bossiney Bay and Leigh's Law are respected and make more appeal than Extra Large and Dawn Dancer while Whitlock has won his last two, though a further 6lb rise looks harsh. Yorbelucky looked to be coming to hand at Ffos Las while Hulcote makes his handicap debut after placing at Goodwood and Windsor.
