      Verdict

      MULTIPLIER ran a brilliant race to finish second in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Handicap in March and a repeat performance would be too good for these. Kershaw won over the course and distance in February though takes on better company but Route Sixty Six gained his third course and distance success in March. Law Abidin Citizen, formerly trained in Ireland, is tough and consistent while top rider Mike Smith returns to the track to ride Bob Baffert's Ax Man, three times a winner here and certain to be better for a run in January, his first since last March. The trainer also saddles Justinian, twice a winner here from three starts though in slightly lower grade.
