In depth

Verdict

Mr Jack Daniells looks set to resume winning ways, possibly at the main expense of Balakar and Our Choice. The selection has got his act together in no uncertain terms since the spring, recording wins here and at Perth before finding one too strong at Kelso. He's gone up in the weights again for that defeat but this race doesn't appear to be as strong and he can go in again. Balakar reportedly failed to handle the quick ground when pulling up at Navan on his latest start but he has claims on his form prior to that and his Irish handler's raiders continue to perform with credit. Our Choice has shown improved form since being fitted with a tongue tie and he looks sure to have a say in the outcome. However, he needs to find a little improvement from somewhere if he's to get the better of Mr Jack Daniells.
