In depth
Verdict
Now Then Sid gets the confident vote to win this with Tierkely and Pavey Ark rating the main dangers. The selection won well over course and distance last time out when beating Swallow Magic. Granted, he has shot up the weights for that win but he still looks ahead of the handicapper and under conditions that suit he will be hard to beat. Tierkely rates the main danger on his best form but he ran a lifeless race when well behind Pikestaff last time so cannot be put forward with any confidence. Pavey Ark is well weighted on his best form but has been let down by his jumping of late so cannot be put forward with any confidence. Of the remainder Xaipete is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he is becoming hard to win with and for the winner we return to Now Then Sid, who will be hard to beat if in the same mood as he was last time out.
