In depth

Verdict

Schinken Otto won off a 16lb higher mark over fences here nine days ago but Malcolm Jefferson's veteran may lack the pace of some of these back over hurdles. LOUIS LUDWIG looks the one to be on, though he was undoubtedly flattered by his wide-margin win in a amateurs' handicap at Stratford last week. He has a 7lb penalty here but Richard Johnson's presence in the saddle more than makes up for that. The four-year-old Urban Kode rarely runs a bad race but may find a couple of these too good at the weights with Goodness potentially interesting. Snooker struggles to stay over hurdles, however, while Swiss Art may just need this after a few months off.
