HIGH EXPECTATIONS (NAP) has a solid strike-rate and was only beaten a neck in a higher grade at Perth last month. Despite worse terms, he should have few problems confirming that form with Parthenius. He’s since run well on the Flat in Ireland and can pick up the winning thread again here. Beeno is 7lb higher than when winning over track and trip in February but has been running well enough lately without managing to get his head back in front. Mixboy is versatile and had a pipe-opener on the Flat in July while Apterix won over 2m4f here last Friday. Baby Jake looks the pick of his stable’s pair ahead of Magna Cartor.
