        Verdict

        Disappointing would barely describe most of these. Rose Red has gone off the boil since finishing second on fast going at Worcester in August while Next Hight made mistakes and weakened quickly when favourite at Newcastle last month, though would have claims on an earlier second over today's course and distance. Arkansas Dave is also worth considering and Kathlatino ran her best race so far over hurdles at Wetherby on Boxing Day. But the handicapper may have been a little lenient with the four-year-old JEBULANI and it could be worth risking that he handles the surface as he stayed well on the Flat.
