Verdict

Charingworth must be an interesting newcomer to fences, however KILKENNY ALL STAR has some solid chasing form in the book and he is preferred to Playing The Field. The last-named is interesting as the former Irish point-to-pointer goes straight over fences without spending any time over hurdles. His inexperience may work against him however he gets a handy weight allowance and should not be taken lightly. In contrast, the selection Kilkenny All Star has plenty of experience over fences. He has changed yards since his final start in April and Richard McGrath is an ideal jockey booking for a horse who may just lack a bit of confidence. Grasscutter unseated his rider on his recent chasing debut and he looked beaten at the time, so a bigger threat may be Charingworth who was just a modest hurdler last season but this son of Supreme Leader is expected to fare much better ove fences. Patchoulie Conti is another interesting newcomer to fences. She seemed to improve for three miles at the end of last season however so over this shorter trip she is taken on with stablemate Kilkenny All Star.
