In depth

The Flat-bred Ranskill Road is an interesting newcomer in this bumper, which probably take much winning. Dares To Dream won on the bridle here on Boxing Day after finishing second at Kelso but that race was run at a crawl. However, she is still preferred to stablemate Adelphi Prince. BEAST OF BELTANE has yet to run up to the promise of a smart pedigree but Brian Hughes rides for the first time and he’s upped in trip. He might be a value alternative to the likely hot favourite.

Adelphi Prince 8-1 (11-3) Held up, headway 9f out, outpaced by leaders from over 4f out, 5th of 10, 17 1/2l behind The Some Dance Kid (11-3) at Catterick 2m mdn (5) gs in Feb.

Dares To Dream (IRE) 3-1 (10-12) Tracked leaders on inside, poised to challenge over 2f out, led inside final 2f, shaken up and drew readily clear from over 1f out, ran on, comfortably, won at Sedgefield 2m 1f (5) sft in Dec beating Takingitallin (10-12) by 11l, 10 ran.

Justcall'm John (IRE) 8-1 (11-6) Ld until jnd aftr 4th, 2nd frm 7th, 3rd bef 8th until b mstk 5out & drpd last, pu bef 4out, at Bartlemy 3m mdn sft in May.
