Verdict
Some poor performers in action in the closer and this looks a good opportunity for Posh Stick, who can confirm the promise of her effort at Catterick last month. The six-year-old had been struggling in testing conditions but showed her appreciation for a quick surface at the Yorkshire venue when staying on strongly to finish a close second in a field of 19 in similar company. The daughter of Rakaposhi King remains open to further improvement and should be able to defy a subsequent 2lb rise. Stormy Beech has been well placed to lift handicaps both here and at Catterick this term but now looks harshly treated judged on his latest start. Del Trotter faces no easy task conceding lumps of weight all round so Joshua's Bay, who has shown a consistent level of form, may prove best of the remainder.
