Verdict
VANCOUVERITE, a Group 2 winner on the Flat, was very disappointing when beaten by today's rival Where's Tiger at Perth. The winner made all under a fine tactical ride and the selection found little when push came to shove but he'll be 7lb better off with rider allowances taken into consideration and that should be enough to turn the tables. Marshgate Lane, a dual winner at Wolverhampton a couple of years ago, has had very little racing subsequently and can probably do better as can Baysbrown, who attracted good support on his bumper debut at Kelso in May. Sue Smith may have picked up a bargain when paying just £3,000 for Absolute, a son of Danehill Dancer, from Marco Botti's yard.
