In depth
Verdict
George Moore's Supreme Lass, a bumper winner at Doncaster two years ago, has been running well without success this term and deserves to get her head in front but may again have to settle for minor honours so a chance is taken with Muckle Flugga, who gets the verdict over Beacon of Light. The last mentioned won a seller over course and distance in November but struggled in better company last time but is probably better than stablemate Digging Deep, who makes her debut. Charlie Egerton's Be My Valentine has shown promise in two starts in bumpers so far and remains unexposed, as does Len Lungo's Sara Monica, who lost no caste in defeat behind the useful Doce Vida at Wetherby earlier this month. However, for the vote we return to Muckle Flugga. The Nicky Richards-trained mare ran a promising race on her debut in a Wetherby bumper when fifth behind First Harmony, just four lengths behind Sara Monica. The daughter of Karinga Bay is open to plenty of improvement and may be worth a small investment at the forecast odds.
