Verdict
Border Reiver turned in a dismal effort when upped in class at Hexham last time, but had won his previous two starts at Wetherby and is not easily dismissed back in this grade. Southwell winner Ginger's Lad appears to have two ways of running and chose the worst one when tailed off despite finishing third on his latest start, while Pugnacity ran a shocker over these fences when bidding for her hat-trick last month, though winning partner Ryan Mania is back in the plate today. OVERBRANCH finally got off the mark over fences with a victory over C&D recently and, with question marks hanging over her chief rivals, Malcolm Jefferson's mare is taken to follow up.
