In depth
Verdict
Bay Cherry has won Irish point to points but fared badly on its debut under rules here, so we're going to side with chase debutant CAVE HILL, whilst also giving a chance to Overlady. Malcolm Jefferson's having a decent season, and his gelding can handle plenty of cut in the ground. His hurdles outings have suggested that he'll cope with the bigger fences. Overlady struggled when pointing but shaped up well to be second last time out in the Hexham mud, and the signs indicated that she's got a race of this kind within her. It's going to be a real tester, in which we favour the claims of Cave Hill.
