Another poor race on a decidedly ordinary card and ROYAL FLYNN gets the vote ahead of Harcas. The Kate Walton-trained selection will attempt to concede weight away all around here and there are reasons for supporting him to do so. Stamina should begin to be a strong point as he gets longer in the tooth, he acts on most ground and won't mind any rain should it arrive, and his mark remains competitive, especially in this grade. Harcas, meanwhile, is at his best over two miles and on fast ground, and while he should act on this surface he definitely has to prove his stamina for this longer trip. Humourous stays very well and acts on the going, and Brian Storey's runner now has a more favourable mark to race from, so he could get involved. Snow's Ride represents a yard going well and could make his presence felt, while Pugnacity will have to live up his name if he is to win this battle. Royal Flynn is the selection here.
