In depth
Verdict
Carrietau may be up to defying a penalty, with Point Rouge and Hi Dancer seen as the main dangers. Experience counts for a lot at this stage in juvenile hurdles, and with that in mind, Carrietau is taken to gain a follow-up over the course-and-distance, having scored emphatically here a fortnight ago. The further they went the further he went clear that day, and although he now has to shoulder a penalty, Barry Murtagh's charge must surely go close. Point Rouge made his British debut at Newcastle recently, and considering that that was his first outing since April, it was a fair effort to finish third. However, the way he ran suggests that a stiffer test is needed, and so we will take him on here. Hi Dancer has a bit of experience as well, but looks more exposed than the selection, while Augustus Livius is only plating class. All in all, depite a penalty, Carrietau should make a bold bid to follow-up.
