In depth

Verdict

The Keith Dalgleish stable is in cracking form and DELEGATE showed the benefit of a wind operation when trouncing a previously-unbeaten odds-on favourite over fences at Musselburgh last week. He’s rated 7lb lower over hurdles and looks the one to beat if he handles the drop back in distance. Archive is having his first run over hurdles for Brian Ellison but did win a chase at Ayr in November off this mark, though Danny Cook prefers stablemate Apterix. Ken Slack is another double-handed with Beeno preferred to Mydor. Craig Star is consistent but the recent Kelso scorer has never won off a mark this high and Ninepointsixthree has gone up another 4lb since his second at Musselburgh.
