Verdict

The Questioner would carry a penalty if successful at Haydock yesterday and WAKE UP EARLY is preferred. The latter ran well for second in a tougher Class 3 contest at Wincanton last time and a repeat of that form should prove good enough. Sir Apollo won on good going over track and trip before struggling on soft ground back here while Captain Tommy has undergone a breathing operation in the hope of improvement.
