Though a long way behind Nortonthorpelegend here at the start of the month, it’s interesting that connections of SKYHILL are happy enough to take on Rebecca Menzies’ stayer again on similar terms. The latter will strip fitter today and gets the nod. Course specialist Late Date started joint favourite with Nortonthorpelegend in that race but was never travelling and pulled up. The Late Legend won over course and distance last month but couldn’t cope with an 11lb ride when on a hat-trick at Huntingdon while Buckled is 9lb higher than when scoring over fences in January. Spirit Of Hale seems best on more testing surfaces.
