In depth

Verdict

TARTAN TIGER is a full brother to a bumper winner and cost £21,000 as a foal. John Quinn's stable is going well at present and the Flemensfirth gelding gets a tentative vote in this field of newcomers. Chris Grant's Soul Bid has a nice jumping pedigree, while it will be interesting to see if there's any market support for Karen McLintock's Bygones Sovereign. Port View, a half-brother to useful Fosters Cross, is also worth a second look along with Angel Sun and Edmund, though the latter pair may need further in time.
