    Verdict

OVERRULE can see off Dr Kildare and Stagecoach Pearl. Brian Ellison's charge landed a gamble at Market Rasen but as the horse had made giant strides on the flat over the last six months or so, punters should not have been that surprised and on that evidence, he can make his mark in Northern events of this type. Dr Kildare has had a busy couple of weeks. A 7lb conditional is tried in an effort to take off a penalty accrued for a success at Down Royal but it might not be enough. Stagecoach Pearl made all to win a maiden here at the beginning of the month. This is a tougher assignment though that victory was very taking. Anay Car achieved a rating of 105 over hurdles last term. He is related to French winners so he could well have improved since his last run. Skylancer is from a top flat family and is a half-brother to Moonshell and Doyen. He has gone well here in the past. Andorn should be fit for a recent win on the level at Musselburgh. A race where relatively few hold serious chances and Overrule does not raise any objections with us.
