Verdict
The prospect of fast ground has understandably decimated the field but YOUNG ALBERT is the call with Beautiful Vision and Easby Park others to make appeal. The former Nicky Richards inmate is not without his quirks but when he was on his best behaviour at Haydock in April, he showed that he is capable of showing his form when in the mood to do so. He has campaigned largely on soft going but does act on fast also. Beautiful Vision was highly rated when trained by Tom Taaffe. Evan Williams has done well with others castoffs but it remains to be seen as to how much improvement he can generate from this fairly exposed sort. Easby Park was not disgraced on his last start at Perth. If he is fit enough to do himself justice, he has to be a major player. Spellchecker is likely to have come on for his first run for some time so expect to see that Cartmel formline left well behind. Nipper John put up a fair second at Kilbeggan in July though would need to have improved in order to take a hand here. Take Your Mark may well find his advancing years against him. Colonel Arthur is a likely front runner. Young Albert could be a decent price and we will chance that he is on a going day this afternoon.
