In depth
Verdict
This quite competitive for the track and time of year. Amy Murphy is a rare visitor here and BARMAN’s second at Plumpton, which has been franked since, was a big step forward so he gets the nod ahead of Honourary Gift, runner-up to a previous winner here on his chasing bow. Maxed Out King won twice here last season but lacks a recent run and has gone back up in the weights. Lucky Robin has become disappointing but Beautiful Ben won at Southwell before finishing third at Perth and My Renaissance is well treated if he can be persuaded to put his best foot forward.
