Verdict
Muree Queen has run some reasonable races in novices' hurdles but David Pipe's filly looks plenty high enough in the weights even in a race as poor as this judged by her latest effort in a handicap at Hereford and preference is for PERLY SPENCER, who gets the vote with Rexmehead rated the pick of the remainder. The selection showed improved form over fences here at the beginning of the month and looks worth chancing back over hurdles over a more suitable trip. Peter Niven's Rocknest Island has not raced over hurdles for some time but does come here fit from the flat so lack of a recent run over timber need not be of any concern but his overall form might. Floodlight Fantasy has struggled against the handicapper since winning at Fakenham in May and he looks best watched at present with a more likely danger coming from Rexmehead, who has shown a consistent level of form of late. This should not take a great deal of winning though and Perly Spencer has every chance if able to translate his chase form to hurdles.
