In depth

Verdict

MICKY THE STEEL is the pick on his juvenile form, showing very good speed on all starts on ground with give and Polytrack. Twice narrowly beaten by Colfer Kay, he gets the vote to make a successful return on this quicker ground. Eloso has the benefit of race fitness having been beaten a short-head over the trip at Dundalk before finding 7f just beyond him at Leopardstown while Sir Sedric, who showed up well in all three starts last autumn, ran very well in a huge field of maidens on his comeback at Naas. Tashgheel became disappointing after a narrow defeat at Navan but the speedily-bred Spanish Class will have come on for her run at Dundalk last month.
