Verdict

DARTINGTON has had a run at the Curragh since completing a double in novice company over hurdles for which he has a small penalty. He easily saw off Weddell Sea at Tramore last time while Desert Friend was well beaten on the level at Galway last week and would do better on softer ground. Faron landed a Kilbeggan maiden by 11 lengths and took on the selection at Wexford next time but was found to be off colour. He's a real threat if back to his best while both Typical Thomas and Gekkota step up from surprise victories in maiden company. Garcon Doux has been operating in handicaps and isn't out of this.
