Verdict
Shane Mulcahy did a remarkable job to stay on board when Funky Dady made a last-fence mistake at Kilbeggan, even more so to get up and win as he lost his irons. Denis Hogan's charge isn't very big and wouldn't get away with errors against these with JERANDME probably having more scope. A dual bumper winner, he made a successful debut over fences at Kilbeggan in July and won the Ulster Cesarewitch on the Flat at Down Royal earlier this month. Timiyan has run in much better company over the years and finished first past the post in the Midlands National at Kilbeggan in 2018 but was later disqualified so has never won over fences. Aasleagh Dawn, three-times a winner over hurdles, has been disappointing over the bigger obstacles.
