Verdict

American In Paris gained a shock victory over 5f at Dundalk but was well beaten here next time in a race where MASTER GARVEY finished third, Senado Square a close fourth, Lisieux sixth and Zouperior and Jackie Brown well beaten. There didn't look too many excuses that day and the places should be confirmed. Asgard's Captain showed nothing in maidens last season but made a much-improved reappearance behind American In Paris at Dundalk and is likely to turn the tables. Meggy Moo, who was fifth, is also expected to reverse the form with that under her belt.
