In depth

Verdict

A WAVE OF THE SEA made a belated debut at Dundalk earlier this month and didn't get going until much too late before finishing strongly. Alakahan was never in the hunt over this trip at Cork but stayed on once getting the hang of the job and is certain to improve. His stable also run the newcomer Lalipour, a half-brother to a 1m4f winner. Small Town Boy showed potential last autumn and on his reappearance over 7f at Limerick where he battled on into second, suggesting this sort of trip would be in his favour. Recent Revelations hasn't run since July.
