Verdict

Canadian Diamond had the benefit of previous experience when beating REMATCH into third over a shorter trip here just over three weeks ago. Tom Taaffe's filly was doing her best work at the finish that day however and, better off at the weights now, can have her revenge and open her account. Miss Nomer won on her debut at Gowran and is open to further improvement while Charlie's Vic won a point-to-point at Necarne 10 days ago and would be interesting if translating that form into this sphere.
