Flaviana stayed on strongly to beat a Gordon Elliott-trained favourite in a beginners’ chase at Kilbeggan earlier this month. However, that race was over 2m4f and the drop in distance is not certain to suit. Elliott runs PENNY JANE in this and, only six, the King’s Theatre mare has the most scope of these. She won the opener on this card 12 months ago and her absence since is not a concern given connections. It’s two years since Killiney Court last showed any worthwhile form over fences but he did win over hurdles at Downpatrick in June. Kylecrue is a previous course winner but was well behind Draycott Place at Listowel in June and need some help from the handicapper. Tikkanen Express was still beaten 21 lengths when second at Listowel 12 days ago.
