        Verdict

        Few can be seriously fancied in another poor event and this looks a good opportunity for Champagne Rider. Derek Shaw's charge has been a little below his best of late but takes a significant ease in grade and will take plenty of beating if retaining anything like the ability he showed when placed in handicaps off marks in the 70s both on turf and all-weather last term. Nearly A Fool and Euro Venture are both on the downgrade while Telegram Girl has plenty to find with the selection at the weights.
