In depth
Verdict
A collection of exposed handicappers on view in a modest opener that is no better than a seller. However, connections of Interstice won't be complaining as the son of Never So Bold has solid claims of following up last week's course and distance victory. Still relatively lightly raced over this trip, Tony Newcombe's charge can find the necessary improvement to overcome a 6lb penalty. Bahamian Heir showed little on turf and has clealry been difficult to keep sound but is stoutly bred on the dam's side of his pedigree and may be capable of better over this longer trip so should be noted in the exchanges. Ride The Tiger was easily held in a seller last time and is likely to struggle while Billy Bathwick is far from certain to stay and Belinda may need the outing.
