      Verdict

Airbound, Westport and Celtic Sunset are all shortlisted in this open maiden and the vote is given to Airbound. The selection is a well-bred colt and he made a pleasing debut when finishing a close third behind Babcary at Lingfield. He is sure to come on for the run and he sets the benchmark for the rest. Westport rates the main danger as he finished behind our selection in that race at Lingfield and he looked the type who would benefit from the experience. Celtic Sunset is an interesting newcomer from a top yard and if this filly is supported in the market then it could pay to take the hint. Similar comments would apply to Jamie Osborne's Tenini, but in an open race we will stick with the Mark Johnston-trained Airbound to lead them home.
