      Verdict

Al Batal won a selling handicap here in November but ran below par last time but Palazzo has been holding his form well over a mile, though has done all his winning so far over the latter trip. DAAFY has a habit of missing the break but that didn’t prevent him running down the leaders, including De Bruyne Horse, in the home straight over course and distance a fortnight ago and Derek Shaw’s charge still has scope for further progress. Mayson Mount acts on the Fibresand and is preferred to Glory of Paris of the remainder.
