Verdict
Caprio is the selection in this claimer with My Mate Pete and Diademas likely to provide most to think about. Caprio has ran creditably over seven furlongs of late but he has demonstrated solid form over shorter and dropping back to six in a weak affair looks the correct call. My Mate Pete is a previous winner on the polytrack at Lingfield. He needs to bounce back from a poor run at Ripon. Diademas has ability but he is quirky and does not look one to trust implicitly. Jal Music is still a maiden and punters that have piled in at short prices have suffered badly in the past. Dark Queen has plenty of early pace and is noted in the market for any signs of confidence. Near The Front looks to need further if his first racecourse start is anything to go by. Not a race bursting with quality and Caprio should be good enough to win it.
