    Verdict

Rosie Says No and Muktasb have won over this distance in the past and a further four course and distance winners take to the track here, but it is BERTBRAND who gets the nod. The David Flood trained selection posted a sound effort when last seen on his return from a 212-day break and had no trouble with this surface. He has dropped in the weights as a result of losing his way since joining current connections, but looks to have benefited for his time off the track and his last win came off a 10lb higher mark. Rosie Says No ran creditably last time minus the cheek pieces she had worn on her last two starts. She stays 7f, acts on this sort of ground and is capable of making the money. Muktasb is the type who needs things to drop perfectly but is largely a consistent handicapper who ran creditably at Wolverhampton last time. He is not one to trust implicitly but should continue to give a good account.
