In depth

Verdict

UP FOR AN OSCAR will be better for a fence but showed a resilient attitude when scoring here last time and should progress again after five runs over timber. He goes well for Ed Cookson and the Bailey team couldn't be in better form. This step up to three miles should also prove beneficial. Blackwell Synergy is proven over the trip and is another likely to improve on what he's achieved to date. He rates an obvious danger, as does Fortuna Rose. Sam Twiston-Davies is a good booking for Julian Smith's mare who has shown up with credit on all three starts over timber. She's a lively option off this mark if fit and ready after a 171-day absence.
