        Verdict

        The feature event on the card could go the way of Cardinal Venture, with Countykat and Brandy Cove given as alternatives. The Kevin Ryan yard continues in excellent form and Cardinal Venture comes here in chase of a hat-trick after two comfortable victories at Wolverhampton. The form of both contests looks rock solid and it is hard to see this one getting beaten. Countykat finished seven lengths behind the selection but has a hefty pull in the weights and should get a lot closer today. Brandy Cove ran a cracker to finish a close up fourth behind the well handicapped Lockstock over course and distance last time, and did manage to win a small race here in April. He does not look harshly treated and looks to be the biggest danger . Penwell Hill is also a course and distance winner and should make his presence felt, but Cardinal Venture is confidently expected to continue his winning ways.
