      Verdict

      The newcomer Artic Promise is a half-brother to a winner on the Fibresand but his yard's poor record on the surface fails to inspire confidence. By contrast, Denzille Lane represents a stable that gets plenty of winners here and he'll be looking to put a poor effort at Beverley behind him. GROSMONT left it too late to trouble the winner when third on this surface on his debut but stayed on well over the 5f and today's extra distance should suit James Given's colt. He gets the nod with the remainder hard to fancy.
