    Verdict

Lilac is fancied to round off the evening in good style for the Evan Williams team, with Don't Ask Me and Glenfield Heights others fancied to go close. Glenfield Heights was slightly fortunate to finish second at Worcester last time. But he did stick to the task in hand when he came under pressure. A similar performance would see him make the frame tonight. Don't Ask Me bolted up at Uttoxeter in May and has to be on the shortlist in this company. He may well have just blown up when he disappointed last time (second start after a long absence) and it will come as no surprise to see many forgive him that effort. However, Lilac was a most comfortable winner when she raced at Uttoxeter last month and, as Williams has found the key to this in-form mare, it would seem folly to desert her now that she has rediscovered winning ways.
