Verdict

Extreme Appeal arrives from the point-to-point field where he won at Dingley in June though he hasn't run over hurdles for three years. Oregon Gold hasn't won in a dozen starts and ran his best race to date when dropped to the minimum here last month. Dual bumper winner NICELY INDEED is another maiden over timber but he ran well here in October and is on a low enough mark to gain his first success in a moderate handicap. Oologist almost gained his first success over this trip at Huntingdon but could have done without a 2lb rise and though he holds third-placed Polarbrook the latter likes it around here. Riviere Argentee has won four times on the Flat but shown little over hurdles.
