Verdict
Not much to split a handful of these and First Maite is only a tentative choice to reverse recent form with Quiet Times on these terms - although Jamestown has claims at the weights and cannot be ruled out of a bold show; especially if there is money for him in the ring. The same has to be said of the David Barron-trained pair of Penwell Hill and Spitfire Bob, who should be high on the list for each way players to consider if the prices permit. However, the selection is a very consistent horse to follow at his own level and has been placed good effect since his connections accepted that he no longer has the speed for sprint distances. This track also holds no fears for First Maite and he could be good value to end what has been a frustrating spell for his followers off just a 3lb higher mark than he was on for his last success.
