Verdict

With course and distance experience a vital edge to have at Southwell we feel La Caprisoa can take this ahead of Feelin Foxy and La Zamora. The selection was slightly disappointing on her latest start but the quick ground at Ripon was certainly to blame. The return to this surface should help along with the handicapper dropping her a few pounds. She also likes to race up with the pace which will help in such a small field. Sharpened Edges' recent return was not inspiring but she is entitled to come on for that run and being back in her own sex will also help. She has never run on this surface but her trainer has had winners on the track. La Zamora has had two very poor runs this season but both were in very competitive affairs. She also has never raced on this surface but her form on soft ground indicates she should handle it and is probably a bigger danger than the Palling horse but its La Capriosa for us.
